THE LAST WEEK

Unfortunately this week is our last week of youth programming at Huron Feathers. We have enjoyed a great summer so far and are so glad it's not over yet.
In celebration of our final Tuesday of youth, we'll be meeting at the centre (303 Lakeshore Blvd.) at 6:00 and walking downtown to get some ice cream. Depending on weather, we might stop on the beach for a bit and play some volleyball or soccer. Whatever the weather, we look foreward to an awesome night of hanging out. We'll stick around until about 8.
And for our last Thursday night of the summer, we'll be gathering at the staff cottage as once again we discuss our faith and how it applies to our lives today. Thursday will also be from 6-8.

The Seventh Week

This week's Tuesday and Thursday events are going to be lots of fun as we enjoy some of the last moments of summer together.

Tuesday night we'll be getting a little sticky with our MESSY NIGHT. Show up for some......interesting activities, which may or may not include, flour, cheerios, gummy bears and clothes pins.

Thursday night will be our second to last night meeting at the staff cottage. This week we'll be asking some tough questions about our faith, and youth are encouraged to come with some questions of their own. We might not have all the answers, but we'll work through it together.

Remember all of our events run from 6-8, Tuesdays at Huron Feathers Presbyterian Centre (303 Lakeshore) and Thursdays at the staff cottage (41 Barrie Ave.)

WEEK 6 (Aug 8-12)

Summer's moving on past and we're happy to continue our summer with more fun youth events

This Tuesday we'll be meeting at the centre then having a leader hunt. The four staff will be located somewhere down town and the youth must locate the leader and perform a task for that leader. We'll be splitting into teams and the first team to complete all four tasks wins. This event will run from 6-8 with pick-up and drop off at Huron Feathers Presbyterian Centre (303 Lakeshore Blvd.)

Thursday night things will be a little more low-key as we meet at the staff cottage (41 Barrie Ave) to discuss some important ideas about our lives and faith. This event will also run from 6-8.

We hope to see some new faces out as well as welcome back those who've been with us before!

WEEK FIVE (Aug 1-5)

Summer at the beach is great and we look foreward to sharing this amazing part of God's creation with youth at Sauble Beach!

Tuesday nights are hang out nights at the Huron Feathers Presbyterian Centre (303 Lakeshore Blvd). This week we'll be hanging out from 6-8, playing soccer or volleyball at the beach and even swimming if you remember your bathing suit!

Thursday nights are faith-based discussion nights at the staff cottage (41 Barrie Ave.) again from 6-8. This week we'll continue to talk about how God created us unique as we indulge in some ice cream sundaes!

Week FOUR!!!!

It's hard to believe we're at week four of youth already.
Mud volleyball this past weekend was a blast and we're excited to keep building relationships throughout the summer.

This week with Huron Feathers Youth:
Tuesday Night: We will meet at 6:00 at the centre then walk downtown and to the car show to do a photo scavenger hunt, so bring your digital camera or camera phone if you have one, if not, just bring yourself!

Thursday Night: We will be at the staff cottage from 6-8 pm enjoying icecream sundaes as we discuss confidence.

Week Three!!!

You might be wondering "What's happening with Huron Feathers youth this week?"
Well......Here's some info!

Tuesday night we'll be hanging out at the centre (the A-frame building at the corner of 3rd St. and Lakeshore Blvd.) and playing some fun games like ride ride ride the poney and beach towel volleyball, so bring a beach towel!

Thursday night we'll be at the staff cottage (41 Barrie Ave) hanging and talking about what it means to lead and serve. Of course there will also be snack foods.

PLUSSSSSSSS
July 22-23 we go to MUD VOLLEYBALL!!!
We still need a few more people to have a complete team for this awesome event.
We'll be leaving Friday, going to the site, seeing live music there, and camping. The next day has the actual mud volleyball where we'll play at least three games. We'll come back Saturday.

WEEK TWO

It was great getting to meet some of the young faces around Sauble this year at our BIGGER AND BETTER event last Tuesday. We finished off with a barbeque, a bicycle, a tv and more. All from just two feathers.

Thursday was a great night at the staff cottage with lots of hanging out and getting to know one another. The ice cream was delicious!

This week we've got a Tuesday night full of beach time, killer volleyball and more! Once again we'll be meeting at Huron Feathers Presbyterian Centre at 6:00 and then going down to the beach. If it's raining we'll still be hanging, we'll just probably be inside the centre.

Thursday night will be another night of hanging at the staff cottage. Meet at 6:00 for some good hanging and some snacking.

Youth (ages 12-18)

Our youth programs begin on July 5th and we couldn’t be more excited. Each Tuesday we host the most spectacularly fun games and shenanigans at the Huron Feathers Centre. If you (the youth) would like to participate in this terrifical time we cordially invite you. We will meet at the Feathers every Tuesday at 6pm unless otherwise notified. We are kicking off our youth programs on July 5th with a game of BIGGER AND BETTER. In addition, each Thursday at 6pm we meet with the youth for food, fun, and dialogue at the Huron Feathers Cottage. We can’t wait to meet the youth!

Youth Events Outline 2010

The 2010 season has wrapped up. We had a great year with fun activities such as the Counselor Hunt and Mud Volleyball as well as significant times of discussion and growth through our Food and Faith nights.

If you are age 12 through 18, here is a general overview of the summer program:
